Fourth Annual Conference

Impact in Learning is to host the fourth Annual Conference in Parental Engagement at the University College Birmingham, on January 29th, 2015. and at the University of Hertfordshire February 12th 2015.

Impact’s founder and national consultant, Roy Broadfield, says of this year’s event, “I am extremely grateful for the continuing support of Professor Charles Desforges in helping us to bang the drum about the important role that parental engagement plays in childrens learning.

It is also with great pleasure that we will once again be hearing from Ros Wilson, the creator of Big Writing, who has been helping to raise attainment for pupils for over 48 years. It is very refreshing to hear her humorous, yet extremely important message, about how parents can improve their child's learning through the power of talk in the home."

The key theme of the conference will be one that looks at how to engage parents and achieve 'outstanding' parental engagement through improving pupil attainment, under the current Ofsted framework.

We know that this conference will be very popular and places are limited to two applicants per school/organisation.
